5 Hair Products I Am Trying Out This Summer
If you've been on my Instagram lately, you might have deduced that this year (like pretty much every year previous) this spring/summer weather has me trying to turn myself into a California girl. Lately I've stocked up on Pura Vida, the new Sailing Day scent from Maison Margiela, and tons of hair products to get those perfect beachy curls.
Yes, I have come across so many products that I adore for beach waves, but my search will most likely never be over.. so here is this summer's lineup for hair products that I will be testing out for all of you.
The Ouai Air Dry Foam
This foam is hitting Instagram HARD and I am so curious to see if it's worth the money. It's a "wash & wear" products, suggesting you can wash your hair, use this, run out of the house and have perfect hair. The formula is supposed to get rid of frizz and encourage your natural wave to come through. It sounds too good to be true, right? Well we will see if this air dry foam stands up to the test.
IGK Beach Club Texture Spray
Beach Club from IGK offers a texturizing beach wave spray without the stickiness of salt. What intrigues me most is this spray has UV protection which is HUGE for me. People (including myself) rarely think about protecting their hair and scalp from the sun, but it's about time we all start.
Moroccanoil Beach Wave Mousse
This was a no-brainer for me! I adore Moroccanoil and I am dying for some great beach waves, so obviously I needed this. It's free of salt to avoid dehydrating your hair, while still giving that textured look. What could be better?
JOhn Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves
This sea salt spray from John Frieda is an old cult favorite that claims to be even better than before. The old formula made waves in the straightest of hair, so I am nervous to see how strong this is, but it sounds like it's going to be a winner.
R&Co Sail Soft Wave Spray
This is a conditioning salt spray from R&Co, a brand that has blown up recently. I know so many hairstylists who swear by this line so I'm hoping this is one that works for me! It contains alma, which is rich in Vitamin C, helping to protect your hair and scalp while adding a ton of shine and great waves.
If you've tried any of these products, I would love to hear your thoughts! Getting those perfect Pinterest beach waves is way harder than it looks, but I am here to do some research so you guys don't have to.
